1. Description:
They are made of metallic elements from steel shaped as sections and boards embedded in rubber and vulcanized, called modules, which ensure the seal of the area and taking over of the displacement of plates from road bridges. The devices for covering bridge dilatation joints type Arca Alfa are executed in the following range: 42, 50, 52, 70, and 80. These types of devices vary depending on the size of the composing elements and the displacement of the dilatation joints which it can take over. The metallic elements are made of steel type S/235JR and elastic element made of Elastomer with the hardness of 60 ShA.
A device for covering bridge joints is made out of more modules placed all along the lengths of the joint. The modules are fixed on the superstructure with adequate clamping bolts. The bolts are protected against corrosion by zinc.
